Beginners Tactics for Pai Gow Poker

Double-hand Poker is a current game with ancient origins. Based on the old Chinese domino game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the east with the west in a wonderful game for starting players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler vs. the casino, unlike almost all other poker games that gamblers bet with other gamblers. By playing against the dealer, starting players do not need to be concerned about any other, more advanced gamblers winning their cash.

One more Pai Gow benefit is the relatively leisurely game play, newcomers are able to take their time and plan without having to make frenzied decisions.

It is also easier to gamble on for a very long time with only a tiny bit of money after all, to lose, each of your hands must be under both of the casino’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the regular 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The gambler is given seven cards faces showing and the house gets seven cards face down.

A five card hand and one two card hand must be put together from the 7 cards, the 5 card hand must be higher than the 2 card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be better than the dealer’s.
