NL Holdem Poker- Who is Phil Ivey?

Phil Ivey has been referred to as the best poker competitor on the globe by many of the top professionals. Phil was born in Riverside, CA and moved to NJ before reaching turning 1. His grandpa taught him penny-ante Five-Card Stud poker. From that point on, he was addicted to poker and wanted to pickup every little thing he could about the game. Phil routinely would tell his grandparents that he was planning on being a professional poker player. Phil didn’t let the adverse feedback from other people destroy his ambition of becoming one of the strongest poker competitors on the planet.

He began competing intently after acquiring a fake ID by the name of Jerome. He practiced his game at the casinos of Atlantic City. The initial number of years for him were a learning period and coming away with a win wasn’t a normal outcome at the time. He made his mark at the 2000 World Series of Poker where he made two final tables and came away with his 1st WSOP bracelet, in a two dollar, five hundred Pot-Limit Omaha event. At the closing table he defeated quite a few of the well known pros which includes "Amarillo Slim" Preston, David "Devilfish" Ulliot, and Phil Hellmuth, Jr.

Phil made a decision to take his game to the successive level and headed out west to Vegas. Phil continues to play in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the best players on the planet. Ivey credits his success to dedication and an undying passion for the game of poker. Phil says that he is learning every day and is incredibly abashed about his success. Phil admits to making blunders every single session of poker and constantly aspires to improve.

Despite the fact that Phil has won some large tournaments, he likes winning money games on a regular basis.
